Brahmaputra river near Mount Kailash Tibet

Until recently all traffic needed to use this ferry powered by a small Tibetan 3-wheeler, but nowadays there is a bridge, bringing down travel (=waiting) time with hours.
During our Mount Kailash trip in Tibet we had to cross the holy Brahmaputra river with our jeeps. We had to wait a long time, but the scenery was worth waiting. |
